Glycolic acid
Also written as AHA, alpha hydroxy acid, glycolic toner.
A small-molecule exfoliant used in toners, pads and overnight treatments. Watery and acidic.
What it needs from a bottle
Low pH and metal do not mix. Avoid closures with an exposed metal spring or an unlined aluminium collar on an acid, and specify the liner. This is the most common thing a new brand gets wrong on their second order rather than their first.
