Snail mucin
Also written as snail secretion filtrate, snail essence, mucin essence.
A viscous filtrate used at high percentages in Korean essences, usually as the bulk of the formula rather than a small active. It is thin enough to pour and slippery enough to run.
What it needs from a bottle
The viscosity is the whole problem. Snail essences are too runny for a jar and too thick to atomise well, so they want a wide-bore dropper or a treatment pump that meters a few millilitres without dribbling down the shoulder. A standard fine-mist sprayer will clog.
