Frosted glass

Also written as matte glass, etched glass, satin bottle.

Clear glass given a matte surface by etching or coating. It diffuses the view of the contents without blocking much light.

What it needs from a bottle

A finish rather than a barrier. It flatters a cloudy or milky formula and hides fingerprints, which matters more than most brands expect on a bathroom shelf. It does not protect actives, so do not use it as a substitute for amber.
