Cosmetic jar

Also written as cream jar, wide mouth jar, balm jar.

A wide-mouth container for anything too thick to dispense. Still the default for balms and rich creams.

What it needs from a bottle

Jars sell texture. A customer can see and scoop a cream, which no other format allows, and that is worth real money on a hero product. The cost is hygiene and air, so pair a jar with a preservative system that can take it, or accept a shorter open life.
