Your unit cost falls as you scale, on the same component. Nothing about the bottle changes when the order grows, so a second run matches the first on the shelf and your customer does not notice a supplier change.
Airless for actives that oxidise
If your formula carries retinol, vitamin C or a peptide, put it in an airless pump rather than a jar. A jar means a finger and air on the product twice a day, and the formulation you paid a chemist for degrades faster than your customer finishes it.

- What is the minimum order for skincare packaging?
- Ten units of a single item. Most wholesale suppliers start at 1,000, which is why a first run usually costs more than it should.
- Should I use a glass jar or an airless pump for a serum?
- An airless pump, if the formula contains actives that oxidise such as retinol or vitamin C. A jar exposes the product to air and skin every time it is opened. For a thick balm or a butter with no unstable actives, a jar is fine and usually cheaper.
- Can I put my logo on a small order?
- Yes. Branding is priced per unit on top of the component, so a small branded run is quoted the same way a large one is. Send artwork through the quote form and we come back with the branded unit price.
- Will my second order match my first?
- The component does not change between runs, so the bottle is the same bottle. Colour on branded work is matched to the approved artwork rather than re-set each time.
